Showmax has debuted “Between Worlds”, a new fantasy drama rooted in Yoruba mythology.

The 10-part Nigerian Original series, which premiered on Thursday, introduces viewers to a world where past and present collide in a mystical adventure.

The story follows Lamide, a man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself in Ilu Arin, a mysterious town where power struggles and ancient secrets shape his fate. The first episode traces his childhood, marked by hardship after his mother is defrauded, leading to her downfall. As he grows older, he resorts to fraudulent schemes to survive, but supernatural forces soon intervene, forcing him into an unfamiliar world.

Created and executive produced by Emmanuel Uduma (MTV Shuga, School Run) and directed by Edward Uka, Tyrone Terrence, and Sola Roberts, “Between Worlds” features an ensemble cast that includes Femi Branch, Ropo Ewenla, Ifu Ennada, Olujide Sunday, Emmanuel Degiri, Laolu Loto, Taiwo Ola, and Oreofe Oguntola.

New episodes will be released every Thursday, exclusively on Showmax.
