Speculated films for the 2025 selection include “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” by Tom Cruise, “The Phoenician Scheme” by Wes Anderson, “Nouvelle Vague” by Richard Linklater, and “Calle Malaga” by Maryam Touzani. Other expected titles include Rebecca Zlotowski’s “Vie Privée”, Haifaa Al Mansour’s “Unidentified”, Fatih Akin’s “Amrum”, László Nemes’ “Orphan”, and Kleber Mendonça Filho’s “The Secret Agent”.

This year’s press conference will take place at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Paris following the permanent closure of the historic 87-year-old UGC Normandie cinema on the Champs-Élysées.

The Cannes press conference is set to begin at 11 a.m. local time (3 a.m. PT) on April 10, unveiling the films that will compete at the world’s premier film festival.
