“Accountant 2″ director Gavin O’Connor has confirmed that discussions are underway for a third instalment, demonstrating his commitment to expanding the franchise.
Gavin O’Connor, while speaking in a recent interview alongside Ben Affleck, disclosed that he would also like to bring back Anna Kendrick in the third film.
Kendrick, renowned for playing endearing characters, portrayed Dana, who was Christian’s (played by Affleck) love interest in the first instalment released in 2016.
“The movies were always intended to be a trilogy and it will not be another nine years before we do our third one.

One thing we’ve talked about is the idea of bringing Anna Kendrick back. Maybe Christian can finally get the love that he deserves,” O’Connor hinted.
When Affleck wondered if Kendrick would be willing to work with them again, O’Connor responded, “Actually, Ben, she and I have been texting. She said she’s a hundred per cent in if we want.”
O’Connor also clarified people’s curiosity about the absence of Kendrick in “The Accountant 2.” He said the second film was focused on the relationship between Christian and Braxton (played by Jon Bernthal) as brothers.
However, for the third instalment of the franchise, he noted that Christian’s romance with Dana is a storyline they are willing to explore.
