Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Darkoo, and Obongjayar have been enlisted for the soundtrack of the upcoming sports drama “F1,” slated for release on June 27, 2025.
Titled “F1: The Album,” the soundtrack features a wide range of global artists. Burna Boy is featured on track 6, “Don’t Let Me Drown.” The Grammy winner also recently dropped a slow-burn R&B single, “Sweet Love.”
Mr Eazi appears on track 15 with “Attention,” while British-Nigerian rapper Darkoo contributes the track “Gimme Love.” Rising R&B artist Obongjayar is featured on track 17 with “Gasoline.”
The star-studded compilation spans Afrobeats, pop, rap, EDM, and country, featuring Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, Roddy Ricch, RAYE, Chris Stapleton, Myke Towers, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, Rosé, and PAWSA.
To promote the album, Atlantic Records has released “Lose My Mind,” a high-energy collaboration between Don Toliver and Doja Cat. The music video, released April 30, 2025, showcases the duo trading bars over a futuristic pop-rap/EDM beat with visuals of Formula One cars and AI-powered robots.
“F1: The Album” is produced by Atlantic Records West Coast President Kevin Weaver, known for successful soundtracks like “Barbie: The Album” and “Twisters: The Album.”
The film “F1” stars Brad Pitt as a retired Formula One driver returning to the track to mentor a young prodigy for the Apex Grand Prix team. It also features Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem.
Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and Apple Original Films, “F1” will be released in cinemas on June 25, 2025, before streaming on Apple TV+.
