Folu Storms Leads Crime Thriller “Red Circle,” Hitting Cinemas June 6

Folu Storms takes the lead in “Red Circle,” a new crime thriller set for release on June 6, 2025, marking her return to the big screen as a woman risking everything in pursuit of the truth.
Directed by Akay Mason and produced by Rixel Studios, “Red Circle” centers on Fikayo Holloway, a determined journalist from a wealthy Lagos family. Despite her privileged background, she is intent on building a serious career in investigative reporting. But when her latest story draws her into the orbit of a violent crime syndicate, her world begins to unravel.
The screenplay was written by Abdul Tijani-Ahmed, who also co-produced the film with Nora Awolowo.
The cast features Bukky Wright, Tobi Bakre, Timini Egbuson, Mike Afolarin, Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Branch, Omowunmi Dada, Ruggedman, and Debo Macaroni.
With its Lagos setting and high-stakes tension, “Red Circle” joins a growing lineup of Nigerian thrillers that explore institutional power, ambition, and the cost of truth-telling.
