The upcoming film event will also feature screenings of its top five selected short films for both exposure and distribution.
Renowned short film platform FilmJoint has announced the theme and panelists for its FilmJoint Premieres 2025 as it prepares for its third edition.
Themed “The Short Path to Distribution,” the event is set to take place on July 3, 2025 at the EbonyLife Cinema, Victoria Island.
On June 14, 2025, FilmJoint released details of the panelists, along with the moderator of the session, Bolaji Gelax—a filmmaker and talent manager.
The panelists include Moses Babatope, CEO of Nile Media Entertainment; Omotayo Inakoju, Head of Legal at EbonyLife Group; and Desmond Ebuwa Ekunwe, a filmmaker.

These speakers are expected to share insights on short film distribution and strategies to strengthen and sustain the short film market.
In addition to the panel discussion, the top five selected short films and documentaries—including “Beyond Olympic Glory” by Shedrack Salami—are scheduled to screen at the premiere.
Other featured films include “What I Do Not Know Will Not Kill Me” by Anabelle Ayangbade, “Aurora” by Thomas Negovan and Aaron Sharps, “Inheritance” by Barbara Minishi, and “Shall We Meet Tonight” by Kelechi Ezeigwe.
FilmJoint is a global platform dedicated to promoting and marketing high-quality short films from around the world. By creating opportunities for filmmakers to earn revenue from their work, it challenges the long-standing belief that there is no viable market for short films.
