Naila Media, the production company behind the acclaimed Prime Video series “Beyond the Veil,” has addressed the long-standing silence surrounding the show’s third season, citing major shifts in the streaming landscape as a key reason for the delay.
In an official statement released on June 24 via Instagram, the studio explained that the suspension or slowdown of operations by streaming platforms across Africa has disrupted ongoing plans for the show’s continuation.
“As many of you may know, streaming platforms have recently scaled back their operations in Africa. This shift has directly affected ‘Beyond the Veil,’” the company wrote. “At this time, we’re unable to confirm what the future holds for the next season.”
The statement also acknowledged the strong audience support the series has received, with Naila Media thanking fans for their loyalty and emphasizing how much the show has resonated.
Created by Nadine Ibrahim and Sifa Gowon, “Beyond The Veil” follows the lives of five women in northern Nigeria as they navigate the intersections of culture, career, friendship, and romance in a rapidly evolving world. The series has gained praise for its nuanced storytelling and rare northern Nigerian setting, helping it stand out in a crowded streaming market.
While the future of Season 3 remains unclear, Naila Media hinted at upcoming projects still in development, encouraging fans to stay engaged for what’s next.
