The crime thriller marks a major debut for 26-year-old Nora Awolowo, now the youngest producer to cross N100 million in Nollywood.
The recently released Nollywood crime thriller “Red Circle” has crossed the N100 million mark at the Nigerian box office, making it one of the year’s biggest local hits.
Produced by Nora Awolowo under Rixel Studios, “Red Circle” opened with N33.8 million and has now grossed a total of N101.8 million within three weeks of its theatrical release.
The film marks Awolowo’s debut as a cinema producer, and with this milestone, the 26-year-old becomes the youngest producer in Nollywood to hit the N100 million benchmark.
In a social media post on June 30, Awolowo thanked audiences and supporters for the film’s strong performance:
“New taker! First-time cinema producer! First @rixelstudios cinema outing! Thank you for bringing us this far. What a journey,” she wrote.
“Red Circle” features a cast including Folu Storms, Tobi Bakre, and Omowunmi Dada. The film’s strong showing is especially notable as it is a non-franchise title—rare for Nollywood films that cross this threshold.
As it continues its theatrical run, “Red Circle” remains one of the most-watched titles in Nigerian cinemas and signals Awolowo’s rising influence within the industry.
