Muyiwa Ademola’s “Ori: The Rebirth” has achieved yet another milestone at the Nigerian box office, grossing N419.1 million in total earnings.
The figure surpasses the N418.5 million earned by Hollywood’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” making “Ori: The Rebirth” the second-highest-grossing film of 2025 at the Nigerian box office.
In a recent post, Ademola announced the film’s official exit from Nigerian cinemas, expressing gratitude for the support it received.
According to him, “Ori: The Rebirth” will conclude its theatrical run on Thursday, July 24, 2025, after 13 weeks on the big screen since its opening on May 1, 2025.
The Yoruba epic, a follow-up to Ademola’s 2004 award-winning classic “Ori,” had earned N97.8 million in its opening weekend alone.
As of July 23, it has grossed N419.1 million and continues to climb—marking one of the most commercially successful local films in recent years.
