“National Cake” Tackles Politics and Family in New Stage Play

Actor and director Austine Onuoha is set to stage a new theatrical production titled “National Cake.” Produced by Nevana Productions, the immersive play blends drama, humour, and political satire as it explores the chaos and complexity of holding power in contemporary Nigeria.

Running every weekend from August 2 to 31 at the Terra Kulture Lawn in Victoria Island, Lagos, the production features a cast that includes Rhoda Albert, Okeke Stanley, and May Efe Okanigbe.

Set against the backdrop of a country driven by ambition and shifting alliances, “National Cake” follows one man, his multiple wives, and the web of political power plays that shape their relationships.
