The International hit stage play will star Nnamdi Kanaga and Elijah Boyd as it makes its debut in Philadelphia in September.
Chris Iheuwa’s play “A Palm Tree In London,” exploring the intersection of cultural identity and human connection is officially set to make its debut in Philadelphia, United States of America.
As shared by Nigerian actor and filmmaker Nnamdi Kanaga, on August 9, the show will run from September 4 to 7, 2025.
“The hit international stage play Chris Iheuwa’s “A Palm Tree in London” is coming to The Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake this September,” he announced.
Produced under Instinct Pictures by Emmanuel Okocha, “A Palm Tree In London,” will feature Kanaga as Don while Actor Elijah Boyd will play John.
The two-character play explores the dynamics of race, perception, and self-awareness as one character from Africa and the other from the West confront their differences and similarities in a shared space.
“A Palm Tree in London” Philadelphia edition will be directed by Olabosipo Solanke and Oladele Samuel.
Notably, the play has previously debuted in Canada, Lagos Fringe and London.
