Nollywood’s upcoming film A Weekend Fiasco is set for nationwide cinema release on September 5.
The story follows a long-suffering wife who takes a weekend trip with a potential lover, only to cross paths with unexpected faces and a spiral of complications.
Directed by Samuel “Bigsam” Olatunji, the film is produced by Osikoya Damilola under Switch Visuals, a production company making its first venture into feature filmmaking after years of work in commercials and music videos.
The screenplay was written by Rita Onwurah, with contributions from Kehinde Joseph, Shola Thompson, and Stephen Okonkwo.
The ensemble cast includes Ini Edo, Alex Ekubo, Yvonne Jegede, Odunlade Adekola, Chimezie Imo, Waje, Liquorose, Ilebaye, and Lizzy Jay.
A Weekend Fiasco combines elements of drama and comedy, bringing together established actors and fresh faces as Switch Visuals enters Nollywood’s theatrical market.
