The annual film festival is still accepting applications in select categories.
London Film Week, set to run from December 3 to December 7, 2025, in the West End and Soho,London, will officially close submissions on November 4, 2025. Late submissions will close earlier, on October 13.
The international festival is designed as a focused showcase for global cinema, selecting only a limited number of films to ensure each project receives strong visibility. Its aim is to promote international filmmaking while connecting directors and producers with UK and European distributors.
Alongside public screenings, the programme features industry days, co-production meetings, panel discussions, and networking lunches that bring filmmakers into direct contact with industry professionals.
The official selection is split into two competitions: the Short Films Competition and the Feature Films Competition. Winners in each category will receive a cash prize of $1,000. Feature films will compete for awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Acting, while short films will vie for Best Short. Both categories will also see jury prizes for originality and audience awards.
Over the years, London Film Week has screened acclaimed titles such as the Academy-Award winning Marriage Story, the Golden Globe–nominated The Personal History of David Copperfield, and Buddy Goes to Nollywood. Hollywood figures such as Dev Patel, Keira Knightley, and Martin Scorsese have also attended the festival.
This year’s edition will continue its tradition of spotlighting both established names and emerging filmmakers, maintaining a carefully curated programme at the heart of London.
