The romantic drama, based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, explores love, regret, and heartbreak.
Book-to-screen adaptations continue to dominate Hollywood, and the next to receive the silver-screen treatment is Colleen Hoover’s bestseller, Regretting You.
The romantic drama film is set to premiere in cinemas worldwide on October 24, 2025.
If the adaptation stays true to the novel, the film will capture the stormy relationship between Morgan and her teenage daughter, Clara, whose clashing personalities and life choices put them at odds.
Determined to keep Clara from repeating her youthful mistakes, Morgan struggles to connect with her spirited daughter—a disconnect that only deepens when tragedy strikes. Their world shatters after a suspicious accident claims the life of Chris, Morgan’s husband and Clara’s father, forcing both women to confront buried secrets, heartbreak, and betrayal.

Regretting You stars Allison Williams, Mckenna Grace, Dave Franco, Mason Thames, Willa Fitzgerald, Scott Eastwood, and Clancy Brown.
Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) will sit in the director’s chair with a screenplay written by Susan McMartin.
The film is produced by Constantin Film, in collaboration with Harbinger Pictures, Frayed Pages Entertainment, and Heartbones Entertainment. Paramount Pictures will handle worldwide distribution.
Regretting You marks the second book by Hoover to be adapted to film, following the controversial It Ends With Us, released in August 2024.
