Nigerian action-thriller Safari is set to dazzle audiences nationwide on November 21, 2025.
The film follows a Nigerian politician’s wife who, amidst her husband’s ambitions and their marital problems, goes on vacation to a safari in Kenya. There, she meets a local who ends up roping her into his troubles after being accused of killing British tourists.
Safari stars Osas Ighodaro, Ali Nuhu, Anthony Monjaro, Helen Keli, Kenneth Ambani, and Jidekene Achufusi.
Nigerian veteran director Obi Emelonye directs the film, witha script penned by Tunde Babalola. Blue Pictures Film Distribution will handle its nationwide release.
Safari is a collaborative effort between Nigeria and the Kenya Tourism Board, aimed at encouraging the public to explore the breathtaking safaris of Kenya.
The film has been a long time coming — in development for eight years and finally hitting the big screen this November. It benefited from the Providus Bank Film Fund, established in 2024 to enhance the Nigerian film industry. With such strong backing, Safari is poised to make history in Nollywood.
