The Arewa International Film Festival (AIFF) has announced the dates for its highly anticipated 2026 edition, scheduled to take place from January 22 to 25, 2026, in Kaduna, Nigeria.

Bringing together filmmakers, artists, performers, and cultural enthusiasts from across Nigeria and beyond, AIFF aims to showcase the rich diversity of African traditions and contemporary expressions. The four-day event will feature an exciting lineup of film screenings, art exhibitions, music and dance performances, fashion showcases, cultural dialogues, and culinary experiences, creating a holistic celebration of Africa’s creative heritage.

Speaking about the festival’s mission, organizers described AIFF as a dynamic platform dedicated to celebrating, nurturing, and empowering the next generation of creative talents. Rooted in the deep cultural heritage of Northern Nigeria and the broader African continent, the festival serves as a meeting point for filmmakers, storytellers, and visionaries to share their work, learn, and grow.

Beyond film screenings, AIFF will also host workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, designed to foster professional development, promote inclusivity, and spotlight emerging voices in the global creative space.

“The Arewa International Film Festival is more than an event; it’s a movement that celebrates storytelling in all its forms,” the organizers said. “Whether through the lens of tradition or the innovation of modern cinema, AIFF seeks to highlight the beauty of culture, the power of diversity, and the limitless potential of Northern Nigeria, Africa, and the international creative community.”

As preparations gear up, filmmakers and creatives are encouraged to submit their works for consideration and join what promises to be one of Africa’s most inspiring celebrations of film and culture.
