Following its record-breaking successes, Netflix in partnership with Sony Pictures Animations has confirmed plans for KPop Demon Hunters sequel, with a release window in 2029, according to Bloomberg.

This comes on the heels of Maggie Kang, the film’s co-director’s advocacy for a sequel, citing unexplored storylines and backstories, hence, the significance of the announcement.

Meanwhile, the four-year timeline projected for KPop Demon Hunters’ return is based on the typical long duration of making animated films. This means that the release date might shift depending on the production schedules.

KPop Demon Hunters since its debut has emerged as Netflix's most-watched film of all time including being the longest-running title ever on the streamer’s English language film chart in September.
