Warlord (Olori Ogun) has posted a strong opening weekend at the Nigerian box office.
Going head-to-head with Zootopia 2, the FilmOne Entertainment and Odunlade Adekola-produced Yoruba epic boasted a ₦38.1 million opening weekend compared to the Disney animation’s ₦12.7 million, according to industry analysts at Nigerian Box Office on X.
Debuting on November 28, 2025, Warlord (Olori Ogun) is directed by the quartet of Abbey Lanre, Adebayo Tijani, Tope Adebayo, and Adekola himself. Alongside Adekola, Abraham Ajeyemi, Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, Ibrahim Yekini (Itele d Icon), and Fathia Williams round out the cast.
Zootopia 2, the sequel to Disney’s 2016 hit Zootopia, follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they embark on new adventures in the bustling city, featuring both returning and new characters.
