That was enough to place the film in the top four movies of the week at the Nigerian box office, narrowly behind Wicked: For Good (₦19.7 million) and far behind Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (₦34 million) and Odunlade Adekola’s Warlord: Olori Ogun (₦59.1 million).
Globally, Zootopia 2 made history with the biggest launch ever for an animated film, earning $556 million, including a record-setting Hollywood debut in China at $271.1 million.
Zootopia 2 reunites Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they face a new challenge that threatens the harmony of their diverse city. The sequel expands on the original’s themes of trust, community, and teamwork as the duo investigates a new threat that forces them to venture beyond familiar territory.
