Rolling Dollar: A Legend Unplugged, a music documentary by esteemed filmmaker Femi Odugbemi, has been selected to screen at the Nsibidi Institute Film Festival, scheduled for January 24, 2026, in London. The festival organisers announced the selection on Instagram in joint collaboration with The Africa Centre, as part of their “Centennial Celebration of Nigerian Popular Music” showcase.
The documentary chronicles the over three-decade life and career of Nigerian Kokoma Highlife musician Fatai Olagunju, popularly known as Fatai Rolling Dollar. Its selection underscores the film’s relevance to the festival, positioning it as a key narrative that reflects the depth of Nigerian music history while honouring the passing of a legend.

It will screen alongside My Father’s Book by Kagho Crowther, Ije Enu by Chikezie Ifedobi, and Bamidele by Ed Emeka Keazor and Muni King Keazor—titles expected to rank among the festival’s most anticipated screenings.
Beyond the screenings, the film festival will feature a photo exhibition, a museum installation, and a live performance by the Lagos Afro-Funk Collective.
