Paul Thomas Anderson’s political thriller One Battle After Another has made history at the 2026 Screen Actors Guild Awards, earning a record seven nominations, the most ever received by a single film at the ceremony.
The film leads this year’s nominations, ahead of Ryan Coogler’s horror blockbuster Sinners, which secured five nods, setting up a competitive awards season ahead of the Academy Awards in March.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as an ex-revolutionary alongside Chase Infiniti as his teenage daughter, One Battle After Another explores themes of family, resistance and the cost of political struggle.
Among its nominations is a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, the SAG Awards’ equivalent of Best Picture. It will compete in the category against Sinners, Frankenstein, Hamnet and Marty Supreme.

The film also received nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role (DiCaprio), Female Actor in a Leading Role (Infiniti), Supporting Actor (Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro), Supporting Actress (Teyana Taylor), and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble.
One Battle After Another, which previously won Best Picture and Best Director at the Critics Choice Awards, continues to build momentum as awards season progresses.
The 2026 SAG Awards will take place on March 1 in Los Angeles and will stream live on Netflix.
