Following the reception of his short film Road to Jabi, filmmaker Leo Obienyi makes his cinema debut with Alive Till Dawn, a zombie thriller set to premiere in cinemas on January 30.
The film stars Uzor Arukwe in the lead role, alongside Sunshine Rosman, Chisom Agoawuike, Sani Muazu, and Michael Dappa.
Set in Abuja, Alive Till Dawn follows a trapped police officer, a group of ex-prisoners, and a stranded woman who are forced to work together to survive a single night as a sudden zombie outbreak throws the city into chaos. As the crisis escalates, the characters are confronted with fear, mistrust, and difficult choices that test their instinct for survival.

In addition to playing the lead role of Badu, Arukwe also serves as a co-producer on the project alongside Obienyi. The role marks a departure from the actor’s more familiar romantic comedy performances.
Directed by Sulaiman Omotola Ogegbo, the film ventures into a genre rarely explored in Nollywood, positioning Alive Till Dawn as a notable addition to Nigeria’s growing slate of experimental cinema releases.
