Gracie Abrams, the American singer-songwriter, is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming feature film Please, written and directed by Halina Reijn for A24.
Abrams shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), posting a media report about the film alongside emojis and tagging Reijn and A24, signalling her involvement in the project.
Please marks Reijn’s third collaboration with A24, following the 2022 satirical slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies and the 2024 erotic thriller Babygirl. The latter grossed $64 million globally, making it one of the studio’s stronger recent releases.

Abrams’ move into acting comes after a successful music career that began in 2019. Her debut album, Good Riddance (2023), earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
She followed up with The Secret of Us in 2024, which produced singles including Close to You and I Love You, I’m Sorry. In 2025, she received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance for Us, her collaboration with Taylor Swift.
While details about the film’s plot and additional cast remain undisclosed, Please represents Abrams’ first major step into film acting.
