Kilanko: The Invincible Child, directed by the late Allwell Ademola and produced by Rotimi Salami, will open in cinemas across Nigeria on March 6.
The film marks Ademola’s final project as a director and actress before her death in December 2025.
The epic drama draws on the Yoruba abiku belief, a mythology about spirit children said to be born repeatedly to the same parents, dying young and returning, often associated with cycles of grief. The story examines the emotional strain and family tensions tied to the phenomenon.

Salami leads the cast alongside Ibrahim Chatta, Olarotimi Fakunle, Tina Mba, Hafiz Oyetoro, Aliu Abdulgafar, Afeez Abiodun, Tokunbo Malvins, Bimbo Manuel, Saheed Balogun and Bakare Zainab.
Cinemax is handling nationwide distribution.
