Filmmaker Allison Precious Emmanuel has hinted at an upcoming release for his debut feature film The Boy Who Gave, following its premiere at the Africa International Film Festival in 2025.
In a post shared on X, Emmanuel unveiled the logo of his production company, MX14, suggesting that the film will be officially released under the label. The filmmaker did not disclose a specific date but indicated that an announcement would follow.
Reflecting on the moment he saw the MX14 logo on the film’s promotional materials, Emmanuel described it as a personal milestone. “As a child, I didn’t just want to act. I wanted to tell my own stories and run the business,” he wrote.

The Boy Who Gave, set in the Niger Delta, premiered at AFRIFF where it received three nominations, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor. At 23, Emmanuel became one of the youngest filmmakers to receive nominations in all three categories at the festival.
Emmanuel wrote, directed and served as executive producer on the project, marking his first feature-length film.
