Omah Lay has announced April 3, 2026 as the release date for his highly anticipated sophomore album Clarity of Mind. The award-winning Afrobeats star made the announcement on his social media on February 6, 2026, confirming the 12-track project nearly two years after he began teasing it.
The album will be led by previously released singles “Holy Ghost,” “Waist,” and the more recent “Don’t Love Me.” While the full tracklist and guest features are yet to be unveiled, the project is expected to be largely produced by his long-term collaborator Tempoe, who handled a bulk of the production on his debut album “Boy Alone.”
Clarity of Mind arrives under considerable expectation, with fans anticipating the Port Harcourt-born star to match or surpass the critical and commercial success of his debut. Omah Lay has himself raised the stakes, claiming the album will be definitive proof that he is the greatest of his generation.
The project will be released under Keyqaad, the label on whose books he has been since breaking into the mainstream in 2020 with his debut EP Get Layd.
The album’s release follows Omah Lay’s revelation that he was forced to record an entirely new project after an artiste he trusted stole his sound, significantly delaying the process.
