They Will Kill You, an upcoming psychological horror from filmmaker Kirill Sokolov, is set for a March 27 cinema release, centring on a series of mysterious disappearances within a closed community.

 

Starring Zazie Beetz, the film follows Asia Reaves, an ex-convict searching for a fresh start, who takes up a housekeeping job in a New York high-rise. Unaware of the building’s history, she soon finds herself drawn into a pattern of unexplained disappearances.

 

As Asia settles into the job, she begins to uncover unsettling details about the residents and the building itself. What starts as a routine opportunity gradually turns into a tense experience, as strange symbols appear and the environment becomes increasingly hostile.

 

The cast also includes Patricia Arquette, Heather Graham, Tom Felton, Myha’la, Paterson Joseph, Armando Rivera, Lindzay Naidoo, Gabe Gabriel, and Chris Van Rensburg.

 

Kirill Sololov, Russian writer-director is known for his ability to blend visceral horror with sharp humour. His previous works include Why Don’t You Just Die (2018) and No Looking Back (2021).

Following his 2021 project No Looking Back, Sokolov returns with They Will Kill You, continuing his focus on genre storytelling that blends psychological tension with horror elements. The film is co-written with Alex Litvak.

 

Shot in Cape Town, South Africa, the film marks the first original production under Nocturna, the banner founded by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti. It is produced in collaboration with Skydance Media and New Kine Cinema, with Warner Bros. Pictures handling distribution.

 

They Will Kill You will open in cinemas nationwide on March 27.
