The Return of Arinzo, Iyabo Ojo’s latest cinema release, has grossed over ₦200 million within two weeks, emerging as the top-performing title at the Nigerian box office.
The film, which debuted on April 3 alongside The Super Mario, has maintained a lead over the animated title in its first two weeks.
According to the Nigerian box office’s latest update, The Return of Arinzo earned an additional ₦51.2 million over the weekend, bringing its cumulative total to ₦226.1 million. In comparison, The Super Mario has grossed over ₦64 million and is yet to reach the ₦100 million mark.
Other titles have also recorded shifts in performance amid the competition. Onobiren: The Woman’s Story and Project Hailmary both saw slower momentum at the box office.

Meanwhile, Mother’s Love, starring Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, crossed the ₦100 million milestone in its sixth week after adding ₦5.7 million.
A sequel to Ojo’s 2012 film Arinzo, The Return of Arinzo expands the original story with a focus on character relationships and action-driven plotlines. The film is expected to maintain its performance in the coming weeks.
