Osas Ighodaro has joined the cast of Boyz Trip, an upcoming South Africa-set action-comedy directed by Kyle Scott. She is the only Nollywood actor in the film’s lineup, which brings together a mix of international talent.
Ighodaro, known for her roles in Man of God and Three Cold Dishes, joins a cast that includes Woody McClain, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Honorable C.N.O.T.E., and Peter Lee. She is also part of a broader ensemble featuring Ama Qamata, Thapelo Mokoena, Bohang Moeko, Ama K. Abebrese, Alessandra Fuller, Francisca Aronsson, Rome Flynn, Algee Smith, Desi Banks, and Siv Ngesi.
The film is currently in production in Cape Town, with filming underway. It is directed by Scott, who also wrote the screenplay, and features music by Emmy-nominated composers Kareem James and Marcus Ash.
Boyz Trip follows four college friends whose annual reunion takes an unexpected turn when their getaway escalates into a chaotic international adventure. The film blends action and comedy within a cross-cultural setting.
Speaking on the final round of casting, producer Autumn Bailey-Ford described the project as a global collaboration bringing together talent from multiple regions.
“We are excited to finally round out this cast. This is truly going to be a global project, as we have talent from London, Nollywood, South Africa, Korea, and America all coming together,” she said.
