According to a new report from Billboard France, Burna Boy has officially emerged as the most-streamed Nigerian artist in France across the last five years (2020–2025).

The Grammy winner leads an impressive ranking of Nigerian stars whose music has resonated strongly with French audiences, with Wizkid, Rema, Mr Eazi, Davido, and others also making major impact throughout the period.

The rankings are proof of Burna Boy’s consistency in one of Europe’s biggest music markets, where Afrobeats has evolved from a niche genre into a commercial mainstay.

On April 18, 2025, he became the first African act to sell out Paris’ Stade de France. Earlier last year, on February 13, 2025, he also made history as the first Nigerian artist to cover Billboard France, thanks to anticipation surrounding his album “No Sign of Weakness.”
