Njem: The Journey, directed by Uche Chukwu, is set to arrive in Nigerian cinemas on July 24 following its festival run, which included a premiere at the 2025 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The thriller stars Chimezie Imo alongside Rotimi Salami, Tana Adelana, Tina Mba, Goodness Emmanuel, Toyin Oshinaike, Tomi Ojo, Kelechi Udegbe and Abayomi Olukanmi.

The film follows a young hustler who sees migration as his only escape from life’s relentless struggles. However, an unexpected twist forces him to choose between the future he desperately seeks and someone he deeply loves.
Through its premise, Njem: The Journey explores themes of migration, love, sacrifice and the consequences of life-altering decisions.

The film is executive produced by Abayomi Olukanmi and Uche Chukwu under Abazee Productions in association with Camp Five Studios. Distributed by Cinemax, Njem: The Journey opens in cinemas nationwide on July 24.
