Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has announced her upcoming album, IT’S YEMI ALADE, scheduled for release on September 11, 2026.
Alade made the announcement on Instagram, sharing the album’s title and release date. The project will be her latest full-length album following Rebel Queen, which was released in 2024.
The singer has kept details about the album largely under wraps. Kenyan singer Bien has been confirmed as a collaborator through the previously released single “Don’t Be Shy,” while other features and the full tracklist have yet to be formally revealed.
The self-titled album places Alade at the center of its identity, presenting the project as a reflection of her musical career and artistic direction.
The album rollout has already included two singles. Alade released “Don’t Be Shy,” featuring Bien, in July, followed by “Ala Bekee,” her collaboration with Don Jazzy, on August 21. The official music video for “Ala Bekee” was released on September 3.
“Ala Bekee” continues Alade’s history of collaborations with artistes from across Africa. Her catalogue includes songs that draw from different languages and musical traditions, alongside collaborations with performers from across the continent.
IT’S YEMI ALADE follows a discography that includes King of Queens, Mama Africa, Black Magic, Woman of Steel, Empress, African Baddie and Rebel Queen.
The singer has also contributed to international music projects, including Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift, which featured Alade on “My Power” alongside Beyoncé, Tierra Whack, Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa.
