The trailer for Tele x Zikora, a university romance drama directed by Adenike Adebayo-Esho, has been released ahead of its October 23, 2026 theatrical debut.
The trailer introduces the film’s campus setting and follows the developing relationship between Tele, played by Mike Afolarin, and Zikora, played by Genoveva Umeh. The film revisits the university drama format that featured prominently in Nollywood in the early 2000s while placing its characters within a contemporary campus environment.
Rather than recreate the university films of that era, Tele x Zikora takes a modern approach to campus life, incorporating contemporary youth culture and Gen Z references into its story.
The film features an ensemble cast including Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Tomi Ojo, Layi Wasabi, Eme Kanaga, Mercy Aigbe and Daniel Etim Effiong.

Tele x Zikora also reunites Umeh, Ojo, Afolarin and Nwagbaraocha, who previously appeared together in Netflix’s Far From Home. The actors played classmates in the 2022 teen drama series.
The film is a collaboration between Imagine Media and MayDay Studios, with Cinemax Entertainment handling its distribution.
Tele x Zikora is scheduled to debut in cinemas on October 23, 2026.
