Premiering on Prime Video on May 3, “Flaws” is a tense psychological drama that examines the depths of human morality and the fragility of relationships.

Directed by Uyoyou Adia, and executive produced by Diane Childs, the film follows the harrowing experiences of a married couple, Kunle Remi and Diane Childs, whose lives are upended by a violent home invasion.

The story takes a dark turn as the duo, once bound by love and commitment, find their marriage pushed to the brink by the traumatic events they’ve endured. As fear, anger, and a thirst for vengeance consume them, they are forced to confront profound moral dilemmas about the lengths they’re willing to go to protect their family.

Even before its release, “Flaws” had already garnered significant acclaim, bagging 20 awards from various festivals including the Cine Paris Film Festival, Crown Point International Film Festival, Boden International Film Festival, and the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, where it won Best Film Maker for Childs and Adia, as well as Best Actor for Remi. The movie has also received 18 nominations.

With powerful performances from the lead actors and an intense supporting cast including Okikiola Bakare, Izzy Daniel, and Eso Dike, “Flaws” doesn’t shy away from exploring the moral gray areas that can arise in the most extreme circumstances. The line between justifiable self-defense and unforgivable retribution becomes increasingly blurred, challenging viewers to examine their own ethics.

This psychological thriller promises a thought-provoking and unsettling look at how quickly the veneer of civilized behavior can be stripped away when one’s loved ones are in peril. As the characters grapple with intense feelings of trauma, love, anger, and hate, “Flaws” asks difficult questions about the true nature of justice and the price society is willing to pay for it.
