George Clooney and Brad Pitt are set to star and executive produce the action-comedy “Wolfs,” which will be gracing theatres on Sept. 20.
The Hollywood stars are no strangers to collaboration, having previously starred together in the 2008 black comedy “Burn After Reading” and the “Ocean’s” heist franchise (“Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve,” and “Ocean’s Thirteen”). “Ocean’s Eleven” was a box office hit, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2001.
Not much is known about the plot of “Wolfs” yet but, from the trailer, Clooney and Pitt play lone-wolf fixers coincidentally hired to cover up a botched murder. Their disdain for each other is apparent, but they must set their differences aside to ensure the “job” is clean, leaving no trace of the murder.
Starring alongside Clooney and Pitt are Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan. Jon Watts, known for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe “Spider-Man” franchise, will direct and produce the film alongside Clooney and Pitt.
The third producer of “Wolfs” is Apple Studios, with Sony Pictures distributing the film.
