Columbia Pictures, in association with Marvel, is back in theatres for the release of the final installment of the “Venom” franchise: “Venom: The Last Dance.” Set to be released internationally on Oct. 25, 2024, the superhero film will continue to chronicle the crazy life of investigative journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and his symbiote Venom as they navigate the world together.
From the teasers in the trailer, Eddie and Venom are hunted down by people and entities from their words. Eddie is chased by a soldier, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, whose mission is to capture Venom, while Venom is targeted by parasites from his home. Whether or not they will survive their ordeal or end up being captured (or killed) will be explored in the film.
Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock. Joining him are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, and Rhys Ifans. Peggy Lu, who plays Mrs. Chen, will also be making a special guest appearance, as she had previously done in the first film “Venom” (2018), and its sequel, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” (2021).
Kelly Marcel, who had previously directed “Venom” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is back in the director’s chair for the third installment of the film. She also serves as a writer and co-producer along with Hardy.
“Venom: The Last Dance” is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.
