“Our Father,” directed by renowned Nigerian filmmaker Biodun Stephen, is set to premiere at the Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF) in Toronto on July 12, 2024, at the Birra Moretti Cinema in the Distillery District, Toronto.

The film, a blend of comedy and drama, follows the journey of a father seeking to reconnect with his estranged family after years of chasing unfulfilled musical dreams.

The plot centers around Sunday Okon, a struggling musician who, in a final attempt to achieve stardom, abandons his family. Twenty years later, he returns a penniless debtor, only to discover that his youngest daughter has become a national music sensation. Determined to reenter his daughter’s life, Sunday must first face his two sons, who are fiercely protective of their sister and resentful of their father’s long absence.

Produced and distributed by Eliroze Entertainment Production, “Our Father” showcases Stephen’s talent for weaving heartfelt narratives with humor and drama.

Stephen, celebrated for her work in comedic and romantic dramas, earned acclaim with her debut film “The Visit” in 2014. Her latest project, “Our Father,” further cements her reputation as a versatile and talented filmmaker.

The film features an impressive cast, including Olarotimi Fakunle, Audrey Harrison, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Mike Afolarin, and Uche Montana.

The premiere will take place. The ICFF, known for celebrating contemporary films, provides a perfect platform for “Our Father” to reach a diverse audience.
