Lynx Entertainment’s Pawn Explores Mental Illness

Ghanaian record label Lynx Entertainment, renowned for launching some of the country’s biggest music stars, has entered the world of film with its latest production, “Pawn”.
This psychological thriller is set to premiere in Ghanaian theatres on November 1, 2024, followed by a Nigerian release on November 2.
“Pawn” delves into the delicate issue of mental illness, centering on a detective with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), also known as multiple personality disorder. As he attempts to unravel the mystery behind a serial killer terrorizing the streets of Ghana, the detective struggles to keep his mental condition hidden from his colleagues and superiors.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Pascal Aka, the film boasts a stellar cast, including celebrated Ghanaian actors Adjetey Anang, Sika Osei, Gloria Sarfo, Lydia Forson, Richmond Amoakoh, Prince David Osei, and Nana Gyasi Owusu.
“Pawn” is a collaborative project between Lynx Entertainment and Tigon Creative Studios, marking an exciting new chapter for the record label in the film industry.
