“Get Lust”, a new Nigerian drama series, is bringing audiences a compelling mix of romance, crime, and ambition.
Produced by Carmsee Media and Entertainment in partnership with Konirewa Films and showrunner Olayemi Oshodi, the series follows three young characters—Tobi, Dare, and Chinaza—as they chase their dreams in the entertainment industry, each facing personal and professional challenges that test their values and relationships.
Starring Etta Jomaria as Tobi, Iremide Adeoye as Dare, and Valerie Lawrence as Chinaza, the show delves into the sacrifices and high-stakes decisions that come with a life in the limelight. As each character navigates the industry’s cutthroat environment, their ambitions put pressure on family bonds and friendships, raising questions about what they are willing to give up to succeed.
Supporting the main cast are Chimezie Imo, Tope Tedela, Ronke Oshodi, Jude Orhorha, and Chuks Joseph, whose characters bring added depth to this complex narrative.
The production team includes Kamisi Adebisi, the show’s creator known for “Atunida”, and co-directors Precious “Happy Director” Okpala and Izy Olabode. Together, they guide “Get Lust” with a fresh perspective on the entertainment industry’s glamorous yet often unforgiving world. This project marks another collaboration for Oshodi and Adekunle, who previously teamed up on the “Atunida” series, which premiered at the Lagos Fringe Festival and the Ibadan Film Awards in 2023.
Behind the camera, cinematographer Fadamana Okwong, recognized for his work on “A Green Fever” and “A Ghetto Love Story”, brings his expertise to the visual storytelling of “Get Lust”.
Although the release date remains under wraps, audiences can anticipate a drama that highlights the drive for success in Nigeria’s entertainment sector—and the sacrifices it demands.
