Ofoma, whose filmography includes socially reflective works like “A Quiet Monday” and “God’s Wife”, expressed his admiration for Igwe’s legacy. “Amaka Igwe saw storytelling as a tool for social change, and that’s why many of her films were themed around social issues. This documentary will celebrate her achievements and inspire a new generation of filmmakers,” he said.

The documentary will showcase Igwe’s iconic productions, including “Rattlesnake”, “Violated”, “Forgiveness”, and “To Live Again”. These films are celebrated not only for their artistic depth but also for their cultural and societal impact. Ofoma aims to highlight her role in reshaping Nigeria’s male-dominated film industry while encouraging purposeful filmmaking.
