Toyin Abraham’s “Alakada: Bad and Boujee” Set to Close Out the Year in Style

The wait is finally over! “Alakada: Bad and Boujee“, the fifth installment of the beloved “Alakada” franchise, is set to hit cinemas nationwide on December 20.

Directed by Adebayo Tijani, known for his acclaimed work on “Jagun Jagun” and “Seven Doors”, this latest entry continues the comedic saga of Alakada, a woman from humble beginnings who tries to rise above her circumstances by pretending to be a wealthy socialite from an influential family.

Abraham also serves as the film’s producer, reprising her role as the titular Alakada.

Following the success of the original film, the franchise expanded with “Alakada 2” (2013), “Alakada: Reloaded” (2017), and “Fate of Alakada: The Wedding Planner” (2020).
