“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Sets New Record as Top-Grossing Anime Film
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has officially become the highest-grossing anime film of all time, earning $570 million globally and surpassing the franchise’s previous record-holder, Mugen Train ($520.7 million in 2020).
In Japan, the film reached $230.7 million (¥33.99 billion) after ten weekends in theaters, posting a relatively small -18.9% drop from the previous week, according to box office analyst Luiz Fernando.
Internationally, Infinity Castle has collected $234.2 million. North America leads with $104.7 million, followed by South Korea ($37.3 million), Taiwan ($25.5 million), and Mexico ($15.1 million).
Beyond anime, the film is also competing with Hollywood blockbusters. It has already passed Fantastic Four: First Steps ($521 million) and could soon overtake Superman ($616 million). On IMAX, it has brought in $70 million, placing it among the top-performing titles of the year on the format.
Currently the ninth highest-grossing film of 2025 worldwide, Infinity Castle is projected to climb higher, with a possible finish inside the year’s top five.
