The film leads a strong weekend of international titles in local cinemas
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is currently leading the Nigerian box office with a debut gross of ₦52.5 million.
According to figures released on July 12 by The Nigerian Box Office, the film edged out “F1: The Movie” by ₦10.6 million to claim the top spot for the weekend.
Its debut continues a strong run of international titles in Nigerian cinemas, following Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” and “F1: The Movie.”
“F1: The Movie” dropped to second place in its second week, earning an additional ₦41.9 million to bring its total to ₦98.5 million—just ₦1.5 million shy of crossing the ₦100 million mark.
In third place, Nollywood title “Her Excellency” debuted with ₦34.2 million, making it the highest-grossing Nigerian film of the weekend. “Superman” and “Ballerina” followed with ₦21.7 million and ₦20.3 million respectively.
Meanwhile, Toyin Abraham’s “Iyalode,” now in its fifth week, came in sixth with ₦17.5 million. The film has grossed ₦292.8 million so far and is inching closer to the ₦300 million milestone.
