After five consecutive weekends at the top of Nigeria’s box office, Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler’s vampire horror-thriller Sinners has been dethroned by Tom Cruise’s latest installment in the “Mission: Impossible franchise, The Final Reckoning.”
The eighth entry in the long-running action series opened with ₦84 million between May 23 and May 25. When including Thursday previews and the Children’s Day holiday (May 27), its total debut gross climbs to ₦123 million—outperforming both “Ori: The Rebirth” and “Sinners” combined over the same period.
