Nollywood film “My Mother Is a Witch” has officially crossed the ₦50 million milestone at the Nigerian box office, earning ₦53.8 million in its debut week.
On June 2, producer and lead actress Efe Irele celebrated the milestone on Instagram, thanking audiences for their support.
“Thank you Nigeria! Thank you to every single one of you that took out time to watch my film. Thank you for the reviews, the laughter, the tears, the kind words,” she wrote.

Irele—who previously produced “Blind Voice” and “Stronger Together”—also praised her cast and crew, especially director Niyi Akinmolayan, for helping bring the story to life.
Also starring Mercy Aigbe, “My Mother Is a Witch” explores the emotional tension between a mother and daughter, further cementing Irele’s growing influence as a Nollywood producer.
