Toyin Abraham’s “Iyalode” Tops Nigerian Box Office With ₦231.1M
Toyin Abraham’s “Iyalode” has emerged as the highest-grossing film in Nigeria for the third consecutive weekend, continuing its stronghold on the box office with a total of ₦231.1 million.
The Yoruba-language epic has outperformed both international and local releases, including “Ballerina,” “Mission: Impossible 8,” and “Red Circle.”
On June 23, Abraham took to Instagram to celebrate the film’s success.
“Make way for the highest grossing film for three consecutive weekends. ‘Iyalode!’ A cinematic reign like no other,” she wrote.
Recent box office data confirmed that the film added another ₦31.1 million to its total, shortly after surpassing the ₦200 million mark.
“Iyalode” marks another record-breaking moment for the actress-producer, following the success of her earlier film “Alakada: Bad and Boujee.”
