“Warlord (Olori Ogun)” Earns ₦49 Million in Second Week

The Yoruba epic posts a modest drop as it leads the box office

Odunlade Adekola’s Yoruba-language epic, Warlord (Olori Ogun) has grossed ₦49 million in its second week at the Nigerian box office

 

The figure represents a 17 percent decline from the film’s ₦59 million debut, asteady hold that places Warlord at the top of the December 5–11 box office frame. The performance lifts the film’s two-week cumulative total to ₦108.6 million, making it the highest-grossing title of the week.

 

The film debuted in cinemas on November 28 and is directed by Abbey Lanre, Adebayo Tijani, Tope Adebayo, and Adekola himself. In addition to Adekola, the cast includes Abraham Ajeyemi, Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, Ibrahim Yekini (Itele d’Icon), and Fathia Williams
