Wuthering Heights has earned ₦10 million in its third full week in Nigerian cinemas.
According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), Emerald Fennell’s live adaptation of the gothic romance novel of the same name grossed ₦5.9 million in it’s third weekend (dropping 36% from the ₦9.1 million of Weekend 2) and ₦4.1 million in subsequent weekdays for a ₦10 million weekly cume (down from the ₦14.9 million of the previous week). The film has a Nigerian cume of ₦47.9 million.
Global numbers are slightly more updated following the film’s fourth weekend. According to box office analyst Luiz Fernando, Wuthering Heights grossed $3.8 million domestically (a 43% dip from the previous weekend) and $8.7 million overseas (a 44.2% drop). This brings its totals to $78 million domestically and $134.9 million internationally.
Altogether, the film has accumulated a $213 million global cume and is expected to reach approximately $220 million by the time you read this.
