28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, a post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Nia DaCosta, is set to expand the 28 Days Later universe when it arrives in cinemas on January 16, 2025.
Set after the events of 28 Years Later, the film returns to a Britain still devastated by the Rage Virus, where tensions between the infected and uninfected continue to shape daily survival. The story explores a society fractured by fear, scarcity, and shifting power dynamics.
The narrative follows Spike as he crosses paths with Sir Jimmy Crystal and his volatile group, while Dr. Ian Kelson uncovers information that could alter the balance between survival and extinction in a world where human threats rival the infected.

Written by Alex Garland, the film stars Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, Chi Lewis-Parry, Maura Bird, and Robert Rhodes. It marks the fourth entry in the long-running horror franchise that began with 28 Days Later.
The film is produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernie Bellew, Danny Boyle, and Alex Garland, with Sony Pictures handling distribution.
