Fans of Marvel franchises have much to celebrate on Valentine’s Day because “Captain America: Brave New World” will open internationally on Feb. 14, 2025.
Sam Wilson, also known as The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), will add a shield to his wings and take on the weighty responsibility as Captain America following Steve Rogers’ (Chris Evans) retirement. Wilson’s transition is anything but smooth, as he becomes entangled in an international debacle that threatens humanity. Also, he must face the recent changes in the United States following the election of President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford), who poses as a thorn in his side.
“Captain America: Brave New World” boasts a host of Hollywood talents including, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tim Blake Nelson.
Directed by Nigerian-American filmmaker Julius Onah, the film’s screenplay is crafted by Rob Edwards, Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, Peter Glanz, and Onah himself. Filming commenced in March 2023 and ended in June 2023. During the film’s production, the title was changed from “New World Order” to “Brave New World.”
Watching Wilson take on the mantle of The Winter Soldier will no doubt be intriguing because the lack of supernatural abilities like some of his counterparts in the Avengers puts him at a disadvantage. No doubt, he will have to rely on his combat skills, intellect, and moral compass to navigate the challenges ahead.
Produced by the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, and Nate Moore, “Captain America: Brave New World” will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
